● About

Why Lofoten SideQuest?

Most tours show you the highlights—at Lofoten SideQuest, we invite you to experience the stories behind them. Our adventures are built around small groups, local insights, hidden corners, and plenty of space to slow down, ask questions, and truly connect with the islands. It's this blend of exploration, storytelling, and genuine connection that makes every SideQuest different—and why our guests leave with unforgettable memories, new friendships, and a deeper connection to Lofoten.

● Our Mission & Philosophy

Our Principles

Curiosity First

We believe the best adventures begin with curiosity. We encourage guests to explore beyond the obvious and discover the stories behind the landscapes.

Authentic Connections

Travel is about people. We create experiences that foster genuine connections—with locals, fellow travelers, and the spirit of Lofoten.

Small Groups, Big Experiences

By keeping our groups small, we offer more personal, flexible, and meaningful adventures for every guest.

Respect for Nature

Lofoten's beauty is extraordinary. We explore responsibly, tread lightly, and help preserve these islands for future generations.

● Our Story

Meet Soumia

Soumia, Founder of Lofoten SideQuest, first fell in love with Lofoten not only because of its dramatic landscapes, but because of the stories, people, and quiet moments hidden beyond the postcard views. Originally from Algeria and now proud to call Lofoten home, she is also a musician and songwriter who believes that the best experiences—whether in music or travel—come from genuine connection, curiosity, and shared moments.

For the past year and a half, Soumia has worked in the tourism and hospitality industry in Lofoten, welcoming guests from around the world and helping them make the most of their stay. Inspired by these encounters and by her own love for exploring the islands, she created Lofoten SideQuest to offer visitors a more personal and authentic way to experience Lofoten.

Today, through small-group adventures, Soumia shares her passion for the islands by guiding curious travelers to hidden gems, scenic viewpoints, charming fishing villages, and places often missed by traditional tours. Her goal is simple: to help every guest experience Lofoten not just as a destination, but as a place of connection, discovery, and unforgettable memories.
